Detroit Community Justice Partnership Gun Violence Prevention Project is designed “to prevent and reduce acts of gun violence by uniting, mobilizing, and educating the community."

This nationally recognized effort includes the involvement of the entire community, with emphasis on community mobilization, public awareness, and youth violence prevention while instilling a permanent belief throughout the community about the importance of gun violence prevention.

With the increasing amount of gun-related crime and death among youth, as well as, the amount of violence shown through the media that de-sensitizes our youth, we are sure you will agree that this program, with its many aspects, will serve as a great catalyst in ensuring our youth live long, healthy and productive lives. It will not only educate our youth, but present to them alternative choices in avoiding violent situations and conflict.

Detroit Community Justice Partnership Gun Violence Prevention Project's efforts have mobilized residents in such a way that they feel permanently linked with their Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies, and empowered to effectively take back their neighborhoods, schools, and business areas.
