The responsibility of parenting is one of the most significant responsibilities of adulthood, but the least prepared responsibilities of adulthood. For many parents, the knowledge and skills of parenthood are effectively passed on from generation to generation. However, even in these effective parenting situations, we are challenged with the difficulties that can occur with adolescents, uncooperativeness, and/or challenges that may occur with children in the best of situations.

The purpose of this Parent University is to strengthen and improve your parenting knowledge and skills. Parenting education has proven to be a very effective teaching strategy to help parents improve their parenting responsibilities and the positive outcome for the child’s well being.

Our objectives for the Parent University are to offer you valuable information to help you better ensure the safety of your child in the home, school and community, and to help you increase your response and involvement toward ensuring your child is succeeding in education growth, social development and moral leadership.

The information presented will cover topics such as: child development, adolescence, time management, stress management, effective communication, emotional development, financial management, nutrition, and crime prevention.

Upon your successful completion of the Parent University, you will receive a certificate of completion.
