DCJP Graduates 5th Class of Youth Academy Graduates

In November 2006, 11 youth graduated from DCJP’s Youth Leadership Academy, the youth ranged in age from 1 to 13 years.  The YLA is an 8-week program conducted in partnership with DCJP’s Parent University.  The youth of the parents enrolled in DCJP’s Parent University make up the students of the YLA.  Both programs run for 8-weeks on the same evenings. 

These 11 graduates join with the previous Spring, Summer and Fall 2006 graduates who participated in character building training, crime prevention workshops, reading and math tutoring, and leadership development. All YLA alumni will have the opportunity to participate in field trips, summer camp experiences, and community projects sponsored by DCJP in upcoming months and years.  For a copy of the full Fall Session YLA Report, click here.
